JFNA has launched the Hawaii Wildfire Fund to provide the essentials to those affected by the fires. Not only is support needed in Maui, but people are fleeing to Honolulu where Jewish communal organizations will be working to support those in need.

The synagogue is open for shelter and accepting donations of emergency supplies. The synagogue is on the other side of a north-south highway and therefore not subject to evacuation.

The Rabbi shared that they are in the evacuation zone, about two miles from the fire line and that volunteers are standing by, ready to get Torah scrolls and other Jewish ritual objects out of the building, if needed. They are accepting donations for aid and support on their website.
