Sharyn Goodson Senior Vice President, Philanthropy Email (858) 279-2740 Sharyn Goodson is the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy at the Jewish Community Foundation San Diego (JCF). She manages many of the Foundation’s programs and services, which aim to build thriving Jewish communities and promote sustainable, equitable, and vibrant societies in San Diego, Israel, across the nation, and around the world. Sharyn works to enhance the capacity of philanthropists and mission-driven organizations to address society’s challenges. She is recognized for her accomplishments in building cross-sector relationships, developing grant-making and fundraising strategies, and delivering nonprofit capacity-building programs. Sharyn rejoined JCF after serving as Vice President of Philanthropy at the Leichtag Foundation and Impact Cubed. Her previous roles include Vice President of Philanthropy at the Jewish Community Foundation, Director of Grants at Jewish Family Service of San Diego, and Program Director at Aspen Community Foundation in Aspen, CO. Sharyn is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a Certified Facilitator through the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and a certified Nonprofit Board Consultant through BoardSource. In 2025, Sharyn was recognized as San Diego’s Outstanding Development Professional by the Association of Fundraising Professionals and was awarded the Carol Sigelman award by the North County Philanthropy Council (NCPC). In 2023, NCPC honored Sharyn with the Robert Krejci Standards of Excellence Award. Assemblymember Tasha Boerner Horvath named Sharyn a 2021 Woman of Impact in Civic Engagement for the 76th Assembly District.
