Miguel joined the Foundation in 2026 as the Grants Associate. Born and raised in San Diego, Miguel is a proud San Diego native with a passion for people, community, and making a positive impact. He earned his bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, where he studied Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Recreation & Tourism Management, and Economics.

With a background spanning customer service, banking, hospitality, and operations, Miguel brings a people-first approach with years of experience working with all kinds of personalities. Here at JCF, he helps process and coordinate grants, support grantee organizations, and make sure the details behind each grant are handled accurately and thoughtfully.
