All hospitals in Israel are on high alert, and as targets and impacts change, supporting any hospital now will be beneficial. So far, these hospitals have treated the most injuries.
Sheba Medical Center / Tel Hashomer Sheba Medical Center activated its protected underground facilities, relocating nearly 90% of departments in less than 36 hours. Soroka Medical Center Located in Be’er Sheva, Soroka is the only Level 1 trauma center in southern Israel. Many of its departments are reinforced and protected. Ichilov Hospital / Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center As the largest acute care hospital in the country, Sourasky Medical Center offers a wide range of surgical and primary care services and a hub for medical tourism. Grant to Friends of the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center below. af-tasmc.org
Hadassah Hadassah Hospital campuses are treating hundreds of victims of recent Iranian missile attacks, including those wounded in Beit Shemesh and Jerusalem. Entire emergency and surgery wings have been relocated underground. Funds are essential for protective gear and essential medical equipment to ensure they can operate at full capacity during the war and safeguard patients and their families, staff, and students. www.hadassah.org
United Hatzalah Hatzalah’s volunteers have treated over 120 injured patients at strike zones since Saturday. Hatzalah activates more than 8,000 volunteers using a state-of-the-art fleet of emergency medical vehicles to respond to over 2,000 emergencies daily, usually within two minutes. Hatzalah is at the forefront of every emergency in Israel, including all trauma and crisis responses to attacks from Iran. israelrescue.org
Magen David Adom Magen David Adom’s national ambulance and emergency response service, with 33,000 EMTs, paramedics, and first aid providers, operates around the clock across Israel to rescue victims of missile attacks and protect the vulnerable. It manages the country’s Marcus National Blood Services Center, an underground, shielded blood bank that distributes blood to all hospitals. Yad Sarah Yad Sarah is Israel’s largest volunteer service, specializing in home-based medical services, equipment, and rehabilitation. Keren Shemesh Keren Shemesh is Beit Shemesh’s foundation that immediately responded to support victims and their families of the devastating attacks in that community. Herzog Medical Center Herzog’s Metiv Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma is playing a leading role in providing trauma counseling. Additionally Herzog is designated as the primary destination for respiratory care patients from the South of Israel. www.herzoghospital.org
NATAL Global Resilience NATAL – the Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center, is an apolitical organization providing multidisciplinary treatment and support to direct and indirect victims of trauma due to terror and war in Israel. www.natal.org
Friends of Israel Defense Forces Primary nonprofit organization dedicated to those serving in the Israel Defense Forces, wounded veterans, and the families of fallen soldiers. www.fidf.org
Michael Levin Lone Soldier Center The Lone Soldier Center is the largest and oldest Israeli nonprofit supporting lone soldiers from pre-enlistment through five years after discharge. Lone immigrant soldiers and Israeli soldiers without family support receive personalized, professional guidance from social workers and coordinators, along with long-term assistance. Israel Emergency Fund (Jewish Federation of San Diego) Jewish Federation of San Diego, in partnership with Jewish Federations of North America, is coordinating a major philanthropic drive to distribute funds immediately where needed most in response to the attacks. Israel Emergency Grassroots Response Initiative Fund The Initiative pools donations to fund grassroots efforts that address the urgent, real-time needs of Israelis whose lives have been shattered by war. 100% of donated funds are promptly sent to trusted allies on the front lines. Since October 7, IEGRI has allocated millions of dollars to hundreds of initiatives. During this war, we are quickly directing funds for mental health, evacuees, the elderly, people with disabilities, and reservist families. The Jewish Agency for Israel JAFI’s Fund for Victims of Terror is a first responder when terror strikes, providing immediate assistance to victims, arriving with checks within 24-48 hours of an attack, and following up with long-term rehabilitative support. www.jewishagency.org
American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) Providing emergency response to those under attack, including elderly, people with disabilities, children and families at risk, and other vulnerable populations adversely impacted. www.jdc.org
Jewish National Fund Supporting the hardest hit communities on the border including transportation, emergency evacuation, and housing. www.jnf.org
IsraAID Working with vulnerable communities and evacuated families to coordinate humanitarian efforts, focusing on psychosocial support, stress relief activities, child psychological support, and relief supplies. www.israaid.org
Jerusalem Civilian Command Center The Jerusalem Civilian Command Center, which opened on October 7, is coordinating aid for reservists, active-duty soldiers, their families, citizens without bomb shelters, and evacuees. Funding is needed for emergency childcare for healthcare workers, hotels, and pop-up activities for evacuees, and support for mental health first aid services. Leket Israel Major supplier of food to those in need. Leket Israel, the National Food Bank, is the leading food rescue organization in Israel. www.leket.org
Lev Echad / One Heart Lev Echad mobilizes thousands of volunteers across Israel to respond to emergencies. In less than a week, the organization has deployed 3,000 volunteers to work in destruction zones and has recruited 15,000 more on standby. The group has worked in thousands of damaged homes, providing deep support to evacuees. Funds are needed for protective gear, food, transportation, tools, equipment, and basic shelter. HaOgen With over 110,000 members of the Israeli security forces called up for duty after hundreds of days of deployment, their spouses are navigating household and financial management, caring for children and family members, and more by themselves. HaOgen is fully volunteer-run and engages tens of thousands of volunteers nationwide to provide caregiver respite, meals, and more to these families. Additionally, they provide financial support to reservist families whose homes have been damaged or destroyed. Ogen’s Swords of Iron Emergency Economic Relief Fund With much of the north and south of Israel evacuated and with 350,000 troops called to serve, many families are suffering without income and small businesses are being forced to close. Ogen provides interest-free and highly subsidized loans to individuals and families, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations to sustain them through the economic turmoil of the war. support.ogen.org
Sha’ar Hanegev San Diego’s sister city lies on the border with Gaza. Tragically, the chairman of the regional council, Mayor Ofir Liebstein (z”l), was killed by Hamas terrorists on Saturday. American Friends of Peace of Mind Peace of Mind is a therapeutic intervention in which IDF veterans receive time and space to process their combat experiences. Run by the Metiv Israel Psychotrauma Center in Jerusalem, the program strengthens their emotional and mental wellbeing, allowing for a healthier transition from military to civilian life. peaceofmind.org

As you know, following Israel’s targeted preventive measures to eliminate Iran’s nuclear production capabilities, hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones have been launched indiscriminately at Israel since Friday, targeting anyone and anything in their path. Israelis are again spending their days and nights in shelters as the country remains in a state of emergency, preparing for more attacks from Iran.
