Cryptocurrency

Donating cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin, may result in a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the donated cryptocurrency (as determined by a qualified appraisal). Your gift to charity may also be larger because instead of paying income or capital gains taxes, the Jewish Community Foundation will receive the full value of your contribution. Donors should consult with a professional tax advisor prior to gifting cryptocurrency. A flat fee in the amount of 7% of the U.S. Dollar denominated proceeds will be charged to cover the processing and administrative costs incurred by the Jewish Community Foundation. The net proceeds can be credited to your Donor Advised Fund or directed to any 501(c)(3) charity.

We accept the following cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Zcash (ZEC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Chainlink (LINK), 0x (ZRX), Storj (STORJ), Dai (DAI), Amp (AMP), The Graph (GRT), UMA (UMA), and 1inch (1INCH).
