Our parents, Joel and Arlene Moskowitz, were passionately curious about the world. Dad graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from CCNY, then went onto Mount Sinai Hospital Medical School. He was a pediatrician and captain in the Air Force and then moved into private practice. Mom graduated NYU where she was a member of Iota Nu Sigma and Ropes, insurance and real estate honor societies. She received her law degree from New York Law School and practiced as a lawyer and a financial planner.

After raising us in Los Angeles, Mom and Dad ‘retired’ to San Diego in 1995. Dad continued his love of magic serving as Vice President of the Ring and wrote a column for the Heritage-San Diego Jewish Press. Mom spent time singing with various choral groups which often included beautifully singing Nella Fantasia. She also enjoyed participating in the San Diego Rare Fruit Society and boogie boarding. Together they traveled most of the world. While back home, they frequented the dog park with Shaina and Thurston.

They raised us with a love of Judaism and a deep belief in the importance of Tzedakah. Our work with JCF will allow us to continue their pursuit of Tikkun Olam.
