When I arrived in San Diego six years ago, the rabbi, staff and congregation of Ohr Shalom Synagogue welcomed me with warmth and a sense of inclusiveness. I immediately knew that I had a home there. Over and over again, I have seen other newcomers enveloped in the warmth of Ohr Shalom’s vibrant community. My legacy gift is my way of paying it forward so that others who come after me can experience the Jewish home that Ohr Shalom provides.
