Sol and Debbie Kempinski

Our commitment to Jewish life and investment in the Jewish future is rooted in our family history. Sol’s parents, Eva and David Kempinski, Holocaust Survivors, rebuilt their lives with strength, resilience, and deep gratitude for the Jewish community that embraced them. Debbie’s parents, Claire and David Feldman, were lifelong supporters and builders of their local Jewish communities, modeling generosity, involvement, and Jewish pride in everyday life.

We both grew up surrounded by the values of tzedaka, kehilla and L’dor V’dor — and deeply feel the sacred obligation to pass on tradition from one generation to the next. These values shaped our identity, guided our choices, and inspired our decision to give back.

We believe deeply in both formal and informal Jewish education to strengthen identity, build community, and foster a lifelong connection to Jewish values, traditions, and to Israel. We hope our legacy will help ensure opportunities are available for generations to come and continue to sustain the vibrant community that has enriched our lives and the lives of our family.

We are grateful to the Jewish Community Foundation for helping us make this commitment in a thoughtful and lasting way.
