Chris and Anita Griffith

Both sets of our parents instilled the importance of supporting one’s community, whether that be simple acts of kindness or volunteering our time towards worthy causes and institutions.

Our connections to Congregation Beth Am are long and deep. For Anita, it began when she was in high school in the late 1980s when her family joined this newly formed shul in a converted tire store. Chris’ connections to Beth Am are also traced back there as well, as it was there that his conversion to Judaism was completed. Across all those years, our lives have been intertwined with Beth Am. From being married by Rabbi Zuckerman, the B’nai Mitzvah of our twins, Chris serving on the Board of Directors and various committees under Rabbis Kornberg and Earne, and Anita teaching in the Jewish Learning Center. Beth Am is the cornerstone of our lives. It is where we have built our Jewish lives and hope to continue doing so. Seeing our children choose to spend their time on the campus of our shul when they were in high school (serving on the USY board as well as being madrichim at JLC, and attending Sabra) only added to our sense of how important it is to ensure the future of Beth Am.
