Charlotte Freifeld

I was raised with a couple of tuff cookies for parents. When my mom said to do something, she didn’t want to say it twice.

My dad was an amateur boxer as a kid and in the Army Aircorp during WW2.

I never saw my dad cry except when the news in the 1950’s showed anything regarding the Holocaust.

NEVER FORGET was my dad’s statement to the three of us kids. I heard that more than just a couple of times. It lit a fire in me that I wouldn’t understand until many years later.

I lived a mostly secular life until my mother passed away in 1991. I decided to make teshuva after which I eventually joined Tifereth Israel Synagogue. What I learned there was the importance of a Jewish Legacy.

It is living the statement to NEVER FORGET!
