New Grant Opportunity for San Diego Nonprofits Serving Children The Jewish Community Foundation San Diego (JCF) announced a new grant opportunity for San Diego nonprofits through the Jewish Mom’s Philanthropy Group (JMPG) Fund. This giving circle of emerging philanthropists is dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and families across San Diego County. Nonprofit organizations serving children ages 0-18 in San Diego County are invited to apply for funding to support impactful programs in 2027. The application process begins with a brief Letter of Intent (LOI), followed by a full proposal for selected organizations. “The JMPG Fund reflects the power of collective philanthropy,” said Sarah Schatz, director of philanthropy at JCF. “This group of emerging leaders is thoughtfully investing in programs that improve the lives of children across San Diego County.” Funding Opportunity for San Diego Nonprofits Through this grant cycle, the JMPG Fund expects to award one to three grants totaling approximately $80,000 to $100,000. These nonprofit grants in San Diego will be distributed in January 2027 and will support programs taking place during the 2027 calendar year. This opportunity is especially relevant for small and midsize nonprofits in San Diego, as well as programs within larger organizations, where funding can create visible and meaningful impact. Funding Priorities: Programs Supporting Children The JMPG Fund is focused on supporting organizations that demonstrate a direct impact on children in the following areas: Basic needs, including food, housing, clothing, diapers, and related support Healthcare, including services that support the physical or emotional well-being of children Education and Intervention Services, including prevention, early intervention, after-school programs, and mental health services Nonprofits should clearly outline how their programs benefit children and families in San Diego County. Eligibility for JMPG Fund Grants To be eligible for this San Diego grant opportunity, applicants must: Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Serve children ages 0-18 Operate within San Diego County Offer (or be willing to develop) hands-on volunteer opportunities Clearly demonstrate how the grant will support a specific program or measurable impact area How to Apply Organizations interested in this nonprofit funding opportunity should submit a brief Letter of Intent describing their program and alignment with funding priorities.
