The deadline for submission is Tuesday, March 23, 2021 by 5:00 pm PST.
The
Jeffrey D. Sollender College Scholarship
was created in memory of Jeffrey Sollender, a renaissance man who always put his family first. Mr. Sollender was a highly accomplished, creative entrepreneur who believed strongly in strengthening and improving the community and helping others achieve their dreams.
Up to $8,000
over four years will be awarded to each selected graduating high school senior in San Diego County who plans to attend a four-year college or university. Funds may be applied to college tuition, room and board, and fees. Open to all faiths. Students of all backgrounds and religions are encouraged to apply.
During College
A minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA must be maintained while enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university. Student will spend at least 10 hours per week on his or her entrepreneurial endeavors, community service, and/or paid employment.
Student must provide the Jewish Community Foundation a copy of their college academic transcripts following each term as well as a 1-2 page statement describing a college, entrepreneurial, community service, or work experience, including what was learned and the impact it had on him/her.
