During her tenure, the Foundation has granted approximately $350 million into the community; assets under management have doubled to over $650 million. Under Beth’s leadership, JCF has become a national model for community foundations providing impact investment opportunities to donors. JCF was the first Jewish Community Foundation in the United States to offer its donors an impact investment option aligned with Jewish values across multiple asset classes. JCF is also unique in empowering its donors to invest in local impact investment funds in San Diego. Beth received the inaugural Jewish Leadership in Impact Investing Award in 2020. Prior to joining JCF, Beth served as President and CEO of Pacific Community Ventures, a combined for-profit/nonprofit organization based in San Francisco dedicated to creating jobs in low-income communities. Active in her Jewish community, Beth served as Chair of the Board of the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay and on the Boards of the Tzedek Economic Development Fund and her temple sisterhood. She is a published author and an accomplished public speaker, having addressed several social venture organizations. Beth received the 2015 James Irvine Foundation California Leadership Award, recognizing Californians who are advancing innovative, proven, and replicable solutions to critical issues facing the state. She was named to Forbes’ list of 30 Top Social Entrepreneurs in 2012 and to the San Francisco Business Times’ list of Most Influential Women in Business in 2013. Beth continues her innovative approach to leadership in San Diego.
