Allan currently serves as Chair of the Audit Committee at the Jewish Community Foundation. He is originally from South Africa and immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1978. He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, P.A. with a degree in accounting. Allan’s career began working in the finance department of a large international hardwood lumber manufacture called Industrial Timber and Land Co. based in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1999, Allan started his own business, Vivid Packaging, Inc. whose primary business was the sale and manufacturing of plastic containers and closures. Vivid partnered with retail and consumer brands such as Starbucks Coffee, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Sherwin Williams Corporation. Allan sold Vivid Packing to Berlin Packaging in 2016. He resides in La Jolla, has daughters and Australian Labradoodles, and is a loyal Cleveland Browns fan.
