Mission
The Governance Leadership Institute’s mission is to strengthen nonprofit governance practices in the San Diego Jewish community, to build trust and credibility within organizations and between organizations and the community.
Vision
GLI will provide a framework for and the resources to enhance and build a culture of strong governance in the Jewish community and each organization will develop their own Governance Action Plan. Outstanding governance practices will promote healthy organizations and an enhanced ability to serve the Jewish community.
Donors will trust organizations to manage their legacies strategically and with rigorous oversight. In this way, stronger governance will lead to more philanthropy and endowments.
