ELI has changed the culture of giving in the San Diego Jewish community. There is a new sense of urgency about the importance of bequests and endowments.
All types of Jewish organizations and all denominations can work together cooperatively and collaboratively. ELI has brought organizations together like never before in the most powerful community building endeavor to date in San Diego.
Organizations participating in ELI have improved their relationship-building skills and activities. Donors report that they are thanked and appreciated more regularly and in more meaningful ways. Both annual and capital campaigns have shown positive impacts.
People of all ages and means are willing, even eager to include the Jewish community in their estate plans. There is a deep level of trust in our organizations and in the generations to come. ELI is the spark that helps motivate an individual or family to create legacies for the organizations they love.
Each organization secured at least one bequest before writing its ELI plan. In the process, organizations gained confidence and perspective.
Quality is the key to creating a program that is at once prestigious and highly effective. All aspects of the ELI program are thoughtfully planned and implemented.
Funding of an initiative of this magnitude is essential.
